We are currently expanding and are especially eager to find a Governmental and Single Audit Manager to lead the Government and Single Audit Practice for Harris CPAs.

Audit Director Responsibilities:
• Oversee and coordinate all services for clients in the areas of assurance, including supervising and training of staff, engagement planning and budgeting, fieldwork, technical reviews, final report generation, presentation to clients and project wrap-up.
• Advise clients and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Assist in building, developing, and managing a book of business to meet goals and objectives as well as expand the number of services provided to existing clients.
• Use professional network and existing relationships to actively develop new business for the assurance team as well as extend opportunities to other lines of business within the firm
• Handle invoicing of services to clients.
• Use his/her industry knowledge, experience, depth of technical knowledge and strong collaborative expertise to add knowledge, value, and executive leadership
• Develop and execute the Firm Vision and Mission to drive growth for the Firm
• Attract, develop and retain talent
• Travel to out of town clients as needed.

Audit Director Qualifications:
• Certified Public Accountant
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Master’s preferred
• 5+ years of recent public accounting audit experience
• Broad and deep understanding of accounting principles and the specialized knowledge related to their discipline and industry focus
• Proficient knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting
• Will be a leader in Governmental and Single Audit Practice
• Proven track record in servicing small to mid-size businesses and managing all phases of the relationship with clients
• Some knowledge of tax return preparation
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in speaking at conferences/seminars and other presentations
• Computer and technology skills
• Experience in a paperless, cloud based environment

Availability: Immediately
Salary: $80k-$110k
Travel: Limited out of town travel, consistent local travel to client’s office
